DEFORMATION BEHAVIOUR OF TiAl-V INTERMETALLIC COMPOUND AT ELEVATED TEMPERATURES

Abstract: The effect of V on the high temperature deformation behavior has been investigated by using double-notch shear test.The experiment results revealed that the V additive can improve the ambient temperature ductility and decrease the ductile-brittle transition temperature.The strength of TiAl compound with the additive of V increases with the increase of temperature up to the peak value at 700℃ approximately.
