STUDY ON AUSTENITE-FERRITE TRANSFORMATION WITHIN CRITICAL TEMPERATURE REGION

Abstract

Abstract: Thispaperdealswiththephasetransformationofaustenitetoferritewithinthecriticaltemperatureregion(betweenAc1andAc3).Theresultsshowthatthevolumefractionoftransformationofferriteformedisothermallyfromausteniteismainlyvariedwiththeaustenitizingtemperature.Thehighertheaustenitizingtemperature,themorevolumefractionoftheferriteformedisothermallyfromaustenite.Besides,thephasetransformationofaustenitetoferritewithinthecriticaltemperatureregionwascheckedbyaustenitizingisothermaltime.Thevolumefractionofferriteformedisothermallyfromaustenitewithinthecriticaltemperatureregionfordifferentisothermaltimehasheenexaminedexperimentally.Thelglg(l-fv)-1vslgtrelationdoesnotfollowtheAvramiequationstrictlyandconsistsoftwostraightlines.
