THE RESEARCH OF THE HIGHER TOUGHNESS HIGH CHROMIUM WHITE CAST IRONAS CAST

Abstract: Inthispaper the effectof alloying on thestructure and properties of high chromium whilecastiron hasbeen research. Theresultsobtained show thatthealloyingcan changethe matrix structure,buttheeffecton thecarbidesislittle when thereisless Ccontent and less Cr con tent,and the alloyingcan changethe morphology and distribution ofthecarbides,which pro duce granular and bar likecarbides.Theimpacttoughness of the high chromium whitecast ironascast may definitely amount to above 12 1J/cm2 ~14 5J/cm2 ,higher by 35 % ~ 143 % than com mon high chromium whitecastiron .
